This simple fact is why Fitness Shop Edge has followed in the footsteps of our sister group: The Bike Cooperative. Because local, independent retailers contribute to our communities in a way the big-boxes never will. Our history

A history of supporting independent sports & fitness retailers

For over 30 years, CCA Global Partners has helped independent retailers in numerous industries secure their future and maximize their potential with national scale and the power of cooperation. Today, CCA Global Partners’ current membership count is over 3,000 locations.
We created The Bike Cooperative with a single purpose: to connect bicycle retailers across america with the scale, services, and solutions to increase profitability and make them stronger for the challenges the future holds. In 2008, we expanded that impact to the fitness, winter sports, running, and outdoor industries as CCA Sports Retail Services.
We consulted with members and modernized our approach, drastically lowering membership dues while introducing a new a la carte pricing model for our growing list of tools and services. Don’t need something? Don’t pay for it.
Our team launched two new tools, focused on vital aspects of every retailer’s business.
  1. Acquire4Hire: our powerful (and free) hiring tool
  2. Marketing4Members: full-service marketing support that connects members with experts on websites, local marketing, digital ads, and more.  
In addition to launching a brand new and fully-streamlined member experience in My Member Center, our cooperative changed its name from CCA Sports to The Fitness Cooperative. Today, we continue to work diligently to make a difference for our members. From improving our existing tools, to identifying new challenges our members can leverage our cooperative scale to solve.
